La Rural celebrates injunction, blasts Alak

The head of the Argentine Rural Society (SRA), Luis Etchevehere, celebrated the injunction issued by the Civil and Federal Trade Court, after assuring that he trusted the "statements" given against the expropriation of the La Rural grounds, and blasted Justice Minister Julio Alak.

Etchevehere affirmed that "it's a bit of a contradiction" the minister's statement because "the same court lifted the judicial recess as requested by the Government" to allow the treatment of the Media Law "giving them a benefit."

Alak considered that the cautionary measure that favours the SRA over the decree to expropriate the grounds in Palermo neighbourhood was "arbitrary" and claimed that "it's another case of forum shopping," regarding the alledged manipulation of the judges' election.
