Del Potro defeat Roddick in second exhibition

Juan Martín Del Potro, Argentina's number one tennis player and seventh-seeded in the global ranking, defeated US Andy Roddick, recently retired, by 6-4 and 6-2 in the second and last exhibition match held in Junín.

The encounter was played at the Cúpula de la Sociedad Rural in Junín, Buenos Aires province, while the first one was held at the Cantegrill Country Club in the Uruguayan Atlantic resort city, where the Argentine player also defeated Roddick by 6-2 and 7-5.

The preliminary show was starred by Argentine icons Guillermo Vilas and José Luis Clerc, where they played several games that ended without definition.

The match was used by Del Potro as a preparation for the tour previous to the first Grand Slam of the year, the Australian Open.
