UIA shows concern about La Rural issue

The Argentine Industrial Union (UIA) showed its "concern" about the situation regarding the Argentine Rural Society's (SRA) La Rural property in Palermo, after the Government ordered its expropriation.

In a brief communiqué, the UIA stated that it "hopes that this situation is being solved rapidly, protecting and respecting the rights of both parts, granting all the guarantees set by the National Constitution."

Fourteen days ago, the Government issued a decree declaring the expropriation of the Rural Society grounds in Palermo after revoking another decree signed by former President Carlos Menem from 1991 that authorized the sale of the property for 30 million dollars.
