Subway: Macri ratifies fares will rise

Buenos Aires City Mayor Mauricio Macri explained today that the ‘true’ price of subway fares is 6 pesos and that they will go up, adding that the city government would analyse a way to reduce expenses and therefore, fares.

After heading the first cabinet meeting of the year, Macri offered a press briefing and said “the true subway tariff is $6 pesos, but we are going to analyse the whole issue to see how we can reduce expenses.”

The city mayor ratified the A line service will be shut down for 60 days to conduct repairs.
