Timerman denies economic ties with Iran over AMIA case
Foreign Minister Héctor Timerman met with the DAIA and AMIA Jewish organizations today, and stated that the government had “no economic interests” regarding the AMIA case, and that they were to “follow the line of the Judiciary.”
“The government and the family members of the victims are on the same path when it comes to this case. We all want to find those responsible for the attack and follow the line of the Argentine Judiciary,” Timerman said today.
Timerman met with Argentine Israeli Mutual Association (AMIA) representatives, including its president Guillermo Borger, at the institution’s headquarters to report on the ongoing negotiations with Iran over the 1994 terrorist attack against the same Jewish organization.
