After two days of heightened tension over the looting incidents in Buenos Aires province, Governor Daniel Scioli that everything is “calmer now” and that “people want some peace and quiet.”

"The looting was chaotic, we will ensure charges be pressed against those who were stealing with guns. My administration will look after the lives and goods of people."

“The judiciary will determine who was the mastermind of the looting incidents” following yesterday’s crossfire between the Government and union leaders Hugo Moyano and Pablo Miceli.

On Friday, nearly a hundred people were arrested and charged with theft following the looting and ransacking of supermarkets in the Greater Buenos Aires area of Campana. Similar incidents took place in a Carrefour supermarket in San Fernando, where Border Guard officials intervene.
