Supermarket looting spreads, 100 arrested in Campana

The looting and vandalizing of supermarkets in Bariloche impulsed a knock-on effect across different provinces, seeing similar incidents in Buenos Aires, Santa Fe, Entre Ríos and Chaco provinces. One hundred people were reportedly arrested in Campana.

Yesterday various reports were filed after supermarkets were ransacked in Campana, Buenos Aires province and other small towns.

Another supermarket, owned by Maxiconsumo company located close to the Panamerican Highway early yesterday evening, right after attacking several trucks over the highway.

According to witnesses, the police managed to control the situation with tear-gas.

Furthermore, a supermarket located in Villa Gobernador Gálvez, in Santa Fe province, was ransacked by 100 people. The police was not able to detain the attackers.
