Lower House approves Human Trafficking bill
The Lower House of Congress approved today the Human trafficking bill almost unanimously - 224 in favour and one abstained from voting.
The bill approved modifies the law 26,364 about human trafficking, sanctioned in 2008. Among the amendments, it highlights severe sentences, and firm sentences for those who collaborate with the abduction of the victims.
The debate of the law that had been preliminary approved by the Senate in 2011, returned to the spotlight after the court acquitted all the suspects in the Marita Verón case.
