Macri admits 'happy' about SC per saltum rejection
Buenos Aires City Mayor Mauricio Macri.
Buenos Aires City Mayor Mauricio Macri admitted today that he was “happy” with the Supreme Court’s decision to reject the national government’s appeal via the per saltum legal mechanism against the extension of the Clarín Group’s injunction to comply with the Media Law, granted by the Federal Civil and Commercial Court.
“The progress in the defence of the national Judiciary makes me happy,” Macri said.
“A new Argentina is being born,” the centre-right PRO party leader assured, on a visit through the Christmas park set up inside Thays park in Retiro neighbourhood.
“Society is putting limits on an authoritarian government that has been trying to ‘Chavez-ise’ the country and up until now, thank God, it’s not succeeding,” Macri furthered.
