Buenos Aires stocks 1.5% higher

Buenos Aires stocks edged up 1.5 percent today, with the Merval benchmark stock index reaching 2,558.76 points.

Argentina's country-risk moved down by 1.1 percent, standing at 1,035 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.
