President inaugurates 'Nativity scene' exhibition
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner inaugurated a "nativity scene" replica of the Vatican's Christmas crèche on display in St. Peter's Square, and wished the Argentines "merry Christmas."
In a short speech in which she avoided the "per saltum" rejection, the Head of State thanked the slums' priests for their "social works" and stated "it's a big honour to be accompanied by them in this moment."
The rally was held at the Bicentenary Museum, where a "nativity scene" exhibition that will last until January 6 was inaugurated.
Fernández de Kirchner highlighted that "it's the first time this crib is exhibited here," and added that it was donated to Argentina by the John Paul II Foundation.
She also said that "for those Argentines who prepare the crib, and those who don't because they have other beliefs," there is an "immanent value to every human being, and that is peace, love for the family and others."
