'Capitalist institutions precariously affect Argentine sovereignty'

Argentine Ambassador to the UK Alicia Castro spoke out over the Libertad Frigate issue at conference in London this weekend stating that it was “not correct that a private capitalist institution can precariously affect sovereign debt restructuring and interfere with Argentine sovereignty.”

Castro spoke at a conference held in London this weekend, ‘Latin America 2012 - Making A Better World Possible’, before politicians, union members and academics.

She also enforced the fact that the navy training vessel, being a military ship, could not be embargoed.

The conference held yesterday saw politicians and ambassadors from across Latin America give various seminars and speeches throughout the day on Saturday.
