Government will ask SC to declare fuel tax unconstitutional

Economy Minister Hernán Lorenzino and Deputy Economy Minister Axel Kicillof explained in a press conference this morning the government is rejecting a fuel tax implemented in Córdoba province, that Governor Daniel Scioli said was also being analyzed for Buenos Aires province.

Lorenzino and Kicillof today said the government will ask the Supreme Court to declare the tax unconstitutional.

Government officials and mayors yesterday criticized the decision of implementing a 10 percent tax per litre of gasoline, stressing it lacks legal or economic feasibility.
