Shale oil and gas to be exploited

A national company dedicated to oil and gas production assured Industry Minister Débora Giorgi yesterday that they have the technical know-how to exploit shale oil and shale gas deposits.

The announcement was made in a press release by the directors of National Capital QM Equipment, who also added that the company will be increasing production in a plant located in Mar de Plata, in order to supply the domestic market and support the import substitution process.

QM Equipment is an Argentine investment fund dedicated to investing in equipment production for drilling and exploiting oil wells; specialized in shale oil and gas.

The company’s president Adrian Ramos said they are seeking to begin producing drilling and workover equipment, which currently is not produced in Argentina.

They promised that the firm will attend the YPF suppliers event, which will be held in the Tecnópolis complex, beginning in December.
