'Relations between Spain and Argentina are good'
Foreign Minister Héctor Timerman assured that the relation with Spain is good, after he met with Spanish counterpart José Manuel García Margallo in Cádiz during the Ibero-American summit.
“We spoke of all issues of the bilateral relation, Timerman said. Relations are good,,” Timerman added, as tension rose earlier this year between both countries following the nationalization of YPF energy company from Spanish oil giant Repsol.
Timerman accompanied Vice-president Amado Boudou, who earlier lashed out at vulture funds and austerity measures and assured that policies in Europe represent a high risk to the global economy.
Timerman siad that “we came with a spirit of collaboration and we are satisfied with the results, as Argentina was the country that advanced the most in trilateral cooperation.”
The Foreign Minister also added that the support towards Argentine peace negotiations regarding the Malvinas islands was evident. The UN issued over thirty resolutions, which the UK has never abided by.”
