Micheli confirms CGT-CTA strike
The head of the dissident CGT, Hugo Moyano, and his counterpart at the dissident CTA, Pablo Micheli, agreed to hold a national strike and a march on November 20. Nevertheless, it is still uncertain if Moyano will offer a speech at the demonstration.
"It has been defined: On November 20 we will hold a national strike and a march to Plaza de Mayo square," CTA's secretary Ricardo Peidró told the press.
Micheli also confirmed the strike and demonstration during a radio interview.
Both union leaders finally agreed a joint march to be held during the national strike, which was ruled out at first by Moyano.
At first, Micheli had assured Moyano was going to be one of the speakers at the demonstration, but later he stated that although the head of the Teamsters' Union "will attend the march," he is not included in the list of speakers.
Moyano will head a meeting of the Board of Directors tomorrow, where he will confirm the participation of the CGT in the strike and march, and is expected to communicate the first results of the parallel Indec statistics bureau.
