Heavy rain, storms hit BA; temperatures drop

A weather warning was issued for Buenos Aires and central provinces for heavy storms.

Heavy rain and thunderstorms hit Buenos Aires City today, affecting the downtown area and the southeast, central and northern parts of the province.

The National Met Service (SMN) issued a weather warning today which extended to seven central provinces including Córdoba, Entre Ríos, La Pampa, San Luis, Santa Fe, Santiago del Estero, Tucumán and Río de la Plata.

Regarding the overall forecast, following days of irregularly hot weather in the city, today's temperatures were still stifling in Buenos Aires starting off the day with highs of 29 degrees.

SMN predicted a drop in temperatures for the next few days, expected to kick in once the rain arrives, taking the minimum temperature to 18 degrees.

Tomorrow partial cloud coverage is expected, light winds and temperatures between 13 and 21 degrees.

On Sunday the forecast was a little brighter with moderate winds blowing in from the south east, lows of 15 degrees and highs of 22 degrees.
