AMIA case: Prosecutor asks Timerman to handle negotiations report

Prosecutor Alberto Nisman, currently handling the investigation into the terrorist attack on the AMIA Jewish community centre in 1994, requested Foreign Minister Héctor Timerman reveal the diplomatic negotiations held between Argentina and Iran last week.

According, to the Jewish News Agency (AJN in Spanish), Nisman have requested information on regards the conclusions obtained by the Argentine government which Timerman had qualified as “highly positive” during an afterwards press conference.

The sources also informed that the request was made to the Foreign Ministry directly, and after the AMIA and the DAIA Jewish Community's umbrella organization had put through the same request.

According to AJN, Nisman wants to know the current state of the two-party negotiations and what exactly are the “positive results” that Timerman announced in a flamboyant way.
