Olavarría teen's autopsy confirms death caused by drowning

César Stramessi, the father of the teenager who was found dead yesterday asked police to investigate into his friend.

The autopsy performed on the body of Jonathan Stramessi, the 17-year-old who was found dead after being missing for four days in Olavarría, confirmed that his death was caused by drowning.

Earlier today, his mother  maintained that her son “was pushed into the river” where he was later found dead.

Authorities found the young man’s dead body yesterday evening, floating in Tapalqué stream, three blocks away from the Pueblo Nuevo neighbourhood police station in Olavarría.

Andrea Cruz, Stramessi’s mother, said that a young man called “Diego” had murdered her son.

“Diego killed my son, because of a girlfriend that they had in common, they had already fought over her in the street,” she told the press.

No arrests have yet been made in connection to the death.

Police investigating the murder closed Fomento nightclub in order to pin down any further clues regarding the lead-up to Stramessi’s disappearance, as he had been there with friends before he went missing.

Early reports stated that there had been some kind of fight in the nightclub before the 17-year-old left the premises.
