Sabella unveils list of players to face Saudi Arabia
Argentina's national football team's coach, Alejandro Sabella, unveiled the list of players summoned for th friendly match against Saudi Arabia to be held on November 14 in Riyadh.
The big surprise is Franco Di Santo, Wigan Athletic striker and former Chelsea forward. It will be the 23-year-old player's debut at the "albiceleste."
Espanyol goalkeeper Cristian Álvarez earned his first call up and there were recalls for Benfica forward Eduardo Salvio, midfielders Ricky Álvarez of Inter Milan and Fabian Rinaudo of Sporting Lisbon as well as Olympique Lyon left back Luciano Monzón.
There was a first call to the full national squad for Celta Vigo midfielder Augusto Fernández, who won two caps last year against Brazil in friendlies between sides picked from the countries' domestic leagues only.
The list may not be modified at first, but if Messi's son is born, he will be absent.
