CFK flies to Río Gallegos to commemorate second anniversary of Néstor Kirchner's death
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner traveled to Santa Cruz province, where on Saturday she will pay homage to her husband Néstor Kirchner, on the second anniversary of his death.
The Head of State is expected to visit the mausoleum in the Río Gallegos cemetery, where the remains of former president Néstor Kirchner were laid to rest following his death on October 27th 2010.
Fernández de Kirchner will lead a private ceremony along with her children Máximo and Florencia and other close relatives.
Meanwhile, a series of ceremonies will commemorate Kirchner’s death on Saturday. Kirchnerite activists will gather at the former ESMA grounds at 1 pm. Members of Grandmothers and Mothers of plaza de Mayo human rights groups, among others, will participate.
Plaza de Mayo square boasts posters of the late President in a move backed by Development Minister Alicia Kirchner’s political party, Kolina, and by bank workers union.
