CTA stages protest in Plaza de Mayo, calls for national strike
The head of the Argentine Workers Union (CTA), Pablo Micheli, led an anti-Government demonstration in Plaza de Mayo along with followers of the dissident CGT leader Hugo Moyano, and assured that "2012 will not end without a national strike".
“Workers are not represented by the man that met with the President yesterday (CGT leader Antonio Caló), whoever represents them is somewhere else. He is not where the President’s friends go,” he assured in a protest that is supported by teamster leader Hugo Moyano.
Protesters arrive in Plaza de Mayo after setting up several roadblocks throughout the city, including the exit to the Buenos Aires – La Plata highway, the Acceso Oeste and Puente Pueyrredón.
