Salado River banks burst, Route 2 closed off

Part of the Salado River burst its banks today, following overnight rain, provoking Route 2 to be completely closed off at kilometre 156, at Guerrero Bridge, the National Highway Security Agency said today.

Traffic was being diverted by Route 57 toward Pilar and from there b Route 42 to Castelli.

The Security and Justice Ministry in Buenos Aires province recommended drivers take alternative routes due to the heavy delays caused.
