'We cannot allow rotten apples in the basket,' says Garré on police corruption
Security Minister Nilda Garré.
National Security Minister Nilda Garré underlined today that she would get to the bottom of the reports of corruption amongst Federal Police chiefs in order to avoid that “rotten apples remain in the basket; otherwise they’ll rot all the others.”
The head of security was referring to the court action that has been taken and assured that the officers in question would be removed from the police force, besides the decision of the court.
The minister was interviewed today where she revealed that some twenty officers had been reported for corruptive practices, among whom ten are chiefs.
