CFK arrives in Buenos Aires following US visit
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner arrived mid-afternoon today to Jorge Newbery Metropolitan airport in Buenos Aires, following a five-day visit to the United States.
The Head of State’s presidential plane took off at 12.35 am (Argentine time) from Hamcock Peabody military base, close to Boston, arriving at approximately 2 pm in Buenos Aires.
Highlights of the visit include participation in the United Nations General Assembly, a meeting with businessman George Soros and the inauguration of the “Argentine Chair” at Georgetown University in Washington.
Furthermore, Fernández de Kirchner met with the director of the Inter-American Development Bank (BID) in New York.
The president’s visit was closed by her giving a speech before students, graduates and professors at Harvard University.
