Airport worker unions to disrupt flight schedules from Monday

Domestic and international flight schedules are expected to be affected as of Monday following a statement released by various airport worker unions, announcing strike measures.

The trade unions that form part of the Aeronautical Federation announced today that they would be carrying out different strike measures intermittently in demand that wage bargaining talks be opened.

The strike action is to affect both Jorge Newbery Metropolitan airport and Ezeiza international at all terminals.

Throughout the day assemblies are to be held by the airport workers.

The union demands include that of a pay rise and reaching a collective agreement for employees pertaining to the National Administration for Civil Aviation (ANAC).

Trade unions to be involved in the strike action include the Union for Superior Staff and Air Company Professionals (UPSA), the Aeronautical Staff Association (APA), the Pilots Association (APLA) and the Argentine Association for Aeronavegators (AAA).
