Before her speech at the UN, CFK meets George Soros
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner meets George Soros.
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner met with billionaire investor George Soros at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in New York, before her speech at the United Nations General Assembly.
Fernández de Kirchner recieved Soros at the hotel she is staying in, and held an "open agenda" meeting for an hour.
The Head of State highlighted that the investor fortold Argentine has a "promising future due to its agrarian capacities." She also stated after the encounter that they spoke about "the agriculture in the contemporary world and stressed Argentina's role as a main actor."
"We also talked about other important sectors in the country as the technology and science," she continued.
After the meeting, the president went to the Argentine consulate located at the Central Park area, where she visited the "Evita: Passion and action" exhibition, which shows Eva Duarte de Perón's life.
