Sarmiento, Mitre train lines resume service

The service on two of the three branches of the Mitre train line and the Sarmiento line resumed early this morning following Friday’s strike after a security guard was attacked and threatened with a gun, the rail company said today in a communiqué.

Trains between Once and Moreno and Retiro with Tigre, Mitre and José León Suárez were all suspended on Friday.

Bunos Aires City deputy mayor María Eugenia Vidal criticized Cabinet Chief Juan Manuel Abal Medina’s comments regarding Thursday’s massive demonstrations and “hoped that he did not express what the President thinks.”
