Riquelme breaks the silence: 'I'm not going back to Boca'
Midfielder Juan Román Riquelme confirmed he will not wear Boca Juniors' shirt again and celebrated he left the team "playing a final" and having a good performance.
"For some that may be little, but for me is huge to leave the team after a Libertadores Cup final. It's easy to stay because people love me, according to you (the press) I trained only when I wanted to, but I'm happy with the decision I've made," he assured during a press conference.
Riquelme also stated that "I'll always be available for the club. A lot of things were said in the last 70 days, and I never said I was going to return, I may have a thousand flaws, but trust me when I say I'm not going to come back."
When he was asked about Diego Maradona's statement, in which he affirmed that Riquelme had betrayed Boca's fans, the midfielder answered "I try not toanswer, I don't care about what this guy says."
