Del Potro beats Stepanek in the Copa Davis semi finals

Tandil native, and former US Open champion, Juan Martin del Potro faced today Czech player Radin Stepanek during the Davis Cup semifinal, against medical advice to rest his injured left wrist. Del Potro beat the Czech player by 6-4, 6-4 and 6-2.

World number eight Juan Martín del Potro opened the tie today at 10.30am (after the opening ceremony) against Radek Stepanek at the Mary Terán de Weiss stadium in Villa Soldati while Juan Mónaco will meet world number six Tomas Berdych later.
