'Differences aren't necessarily in place forever,' says Moyano after UCR meeting

Members of Hugo Moyano´s CGT met today with members of the UCR political party.

Following a meeting held with members of the Radical Party (UCR) at the Azopardo branch of the CGT umbrella union led by Hugo Moyano, the secretary-general insisted the creation of an “opposition against the lack of freedom” and that all sectors look to “face the government.”

Both the political party and the labour union came together to discuss various topics, and coincided on themes currently affecting Argentine politics.

Part of this included them coming together on their views regarding possible constitutional reform, saying that they could neither “encourage nor support” it. They also agreed to join forces in opposing the current “lack of freedom in the country.”

The secretary-general of the CGT expressed his positivity toward the result of the meeting. “We’ve always thought about having meetings with the UCR. Differences aren’t necessarily in place forever,” Moyano said.

“What we’ve established is that we all have to face the government. All of us are thinking it, not just the CGT,” he added.
