BA farming board meet to assess floods damage
The Buenos Aires Province Farming Board will meet today in order to assess flood damage after torrential rains flooded several Buenos Aires province rural areas.
The meeting is scheduled to start at 2 pm in Bolivar town, 358 km from BA City and one of the most affected districts.
Producers, experts and local, provincial and national officials will discuss the best ways to assess the damage caused by heavy showers in the centre, west and southeast areas of the Buenos Aires province.
Argentine Rural Society’s (SRA) president Hugo Biolcati, at the end of his term as SRA head, will be in attendance as well as his successor Luis Miguel Etchevehere. Several expert panels are to discuss the repercussions, course of action, and future of the affected areas.
Last month intense rains caused damage to crops and livestock throughout the entire province as well the evacuations of over a thousand people living in rural areas.
