Bad weather causes delays on roads, Aeroparque

Bad weather caused delays today at Aeroparque.

Mist, strong rain and electric storms caused delays at the Jorge Newbery Metropolitan Airport (Aeroparque) in Buenos Aires since the early hours of today, affecting several morning flights.

A morning electric storm prevented aircrafts from having their tanks filled causing over an hour-and-a-half of delays and also some cancellations.

Sources said most complications were registered around 5 am when the storm hit.

The situation slowly returned to normal by 5 pmal though some flights still experienced delays from the morning eletric storm.

The National Weather Forecasting Service (SMN) put in place an alert for moderate showers and rain storms this morning. But weather conditions improved in the afternoo.n

The rain showers also affected all motorways leading to the capital city today. All major rouetways suffered major traffic delays this morning after one person was killed and three injured in multiple accidents that took place, as a result of heavy rains overnight.
