Scioli: 'If there's a Constitution reform, I'll support CFK'
Buenos Aires Governor Daniel Scioli ratified he is willing to support President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner if she is allowed to run for a new term in office, although he assured that he would like to run for president if a constitutional reform fails.
"I've never had a problem with Cristina and I'll support her if she looks for a second reelection," Scioli stated as he said he would try to administer the province to stay "in the team headed by the President."
The Governor said during an interview to the Chilean newspaper El Mercurio that "some sectors have always tried to make me fight with the President, as they also tried before with Néstor Kirchner."
According to Scioli, his intention is to "keep moving forward" with his "work," which is "making hospitals, schools work correctly, fight crime and boost productive sectors."
"That's my job and I'm part of the team headed by the President that is giving great solutions and changes to Argentina," the governor continued.
Scioli affirmed that "if there is a constitutional reform, the President will count with my support, as she always did."
"If the reform fails, then I could have my chance as many other leaders, which is normal in politics," he concluded.
