Buenos Aires stocks edge up

Buenos Aires stocks edged up today, with the Merval benchmark stock index gaining 0.7 percent to 2,458.81 points.

Meanwhile, Argentina's country-risk fell 0.4 percent to 1,023 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.
