Argentina complains again over US' 'inconsistent and protectionist policies'
The national government today complaint again against the “trade restrictions in place on Argentine products” by the United States, summed up to form “part of their inconsistent and protectionist policies” with international trade regulations.
The government today gave a challenged response to the US government’s “surprise” at the Argentine government’s decision to make a formal complaint to the World Trade Organization over their blocks in place on Argentine meat and citrus fruits imports to the US market.
The Foreign Ministry released a communiqué indicating that: “it is evident that the trade restriction on Argentine products is part of a protectionist and inconsistent policy when put with the WTO’s trade regulations.”
“The United States puts aside around 120 billion dollars per year toward subsidies in the agriculture sector. This transfer of resources implies the development of a more balanced and fair global business,” it added.
