Pro-government lawmakers celebrate Ciccone's expropriation
Pro-government lawmakers celebrated today the passing of money-printer Companía de Valores Sudamericana’s expropriation (CVS), formerly called Ciccone Calcográfica, into law and said that the nationalization of the printing company will “boost” the National Mint.
The statements of support came from the head of the Victory Front's caucus in the Lower House, Agustín Rossi, who in addition showed firm support for Vice-President Amado Boudou as the lateer came under fire yesterday by the opposition during the debate.
During a radio interview this morning Rossi stated that the passing of the Ciccone bill into law was “a recovery of sovereignty.”
“There are few countries in the world that have the double condition of having the National Mint and at the same time a private printing company with the capacity of producing paper money,” Rossi furthered.
