This week at the movies
Green glitter and magic dust galore! Tinkerbell’s back with more fairy-like fun. Winter-based Disney flick ‘Secret of the Wings’ is the perfect pick for the kiddiewinks where we see the famous fairy from the classic Peter Pan flicks and stories on a new quest to find a mysterious fairy in the winter forests.
Other fresh arrivals from Hollywood include the latest big screen edition of the Bourne movies with ‘The Bourne Legacy.’ An expansion of Ludlum’s creation of the universe in his novels, this tense thriller starring Jeremy Renner, Rachel Weisz and Edward Norton, focuses on a new hero affected by situations from the three previous films.
From Argentina this week, ‘La Despedida’ arrives, directed by Juan Manuel D’Emilio, about a man’s journey suffering from a terminal disease who risks his life for the love of football.
Films from abroad include a fishing drama in French, with ‘Le Cochon de Gaza’ and two documentaries from different points of Latin America, including ‘Los Guerreros de La Luz’ from Mexico and ‘Historias que so existem quando lembradas’ from northern Brazil.
