Lorry collides into two buses, injures seven

The accident occurred at around 5.45 am this morning along Paseo Colón Avenue in San Telmo.

Seven people were injured this morning after a cargo lorry collided into a bus, causing it to crash into another bus along a main avenue in the city neighbourhood of San Telmo.

The accident occurred just before 6 am today when the lorry allegedly lost control of his breaks and ran a red light while driving down San Juan Avenue. When the vehicle tried to turn onto Paseo Colón it hit a 64 line bus, which crashed into another 64 line bus which was going in the opposite direction.

Police authorities at the scene told ambito.com that “the driver's brakes stopped working” and that at the time of the crash fifteen people were injured and had been sent to Argerich Hospital to be treated by Same emergency paramedics.

Police were diverting traffic away from the area from early this morning, partially blocking off the road in order to further investigate the causes of the crash.
