Buenos Aires stocks edge up

Buenos Aires stocks edged up today, with the Merval benchmark stock index gaining 1.8 percent to 2,483.42 points.

Meanwhile, Argentina's country-risk fell 2.1 percent to 1,010 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.
