Lower House approves Banco Ciudad bill
The Lower House of Congress approved today a bill that, if passed by the Senate will have court deposits moved from Banco Ciudad to Banco Nación, in a short session following the opposition’s early withdrawal from the debate.
After a little over an hour into the session, the Kirchnerite majority obtained the approval of the bill’s passing by 128 affirmative votes to 4 negative.
Meanwhile, outside the National Congress, Banco Ciudad workers were protesting against the measure, stating that it will “empty out” the entity.
The bill sponsored by Kirchnerite Deputy Diana Conti, establishes that “depending on the case, the money, titles and securities seized must be deposited into Banco Nación.”
