Triathlon: Tellechea leaves satisfied, reaches new personal record
Argentina Gonzalo Tellechea reached the 38 place at the Olympic triathlon held at London's traditional Hyde Park over 54.5 kilometres of swimming, cycling and running.
The athlete from San Juan province took an hour, 51 minutes and 7 seconds in his debut at an Olympic Game.
World champion British Alistair Brownlee was the leader in this sport, followed by Spain's Javier Gómez Noya, who achieved the silver medal after finishing 11 seconds later.
Jonathan Brownlee, Alistair's younger brother, was left in the thrid place and won the bronze medal, his race was blown apart by a 15-second penalty for a rule infringement.
