Men's hockey: Argentina thrash South Africa, to fight for 9 place

Argentina's men's field hockey team achieved its first victory at London 2012 Olympic Games after defeating South Africa by 6-3 in the fifth and last round of the Group A.

Argentina, which ended at the fifth place in its group, will fight for the ninth place against New Zealand.

The team coached by Pablo Lombi reached its first victory in London before South Africa, after being defeated by Great Britain (4-1), Pakistan (2-0) and Spain (3-1), and drew with Australia (2-0).
