Lauro ends games participation
German Lauro ended his participation at the London Olympics after finishing in the 18th position out of 20 competitors in today's Men's athletics discus qualifying round Group A at the Olympic Stadium with a mark of 57.54 metres, and way behind the winner Vikas Gowda, from India, who threw 65.20 metres.
The top qualifiers were Estonia's Gerd Kanter with 66.39 metres(72.60 yards), Germany's Robert Harting with 66.22 metres(72.42 yards) and Cuba's Jorge Y Fernandez with 65.34 metres(71.46 yards).
