Pereyra fails to qualify for men's 1500m swimming final

Argentina’s Juan Martín Pereyra failed to qualify for the 1500 metre men’s swimming final at the Olympic Games today, after finishing up last in his heat at the freestyle qualifiers. Pereyra swam in heat three of the freestyle qualifiers coming in seventh behind British swimmer Dave Davies.
Pereyra finished up last in his heat with a time of 15 minutes and 36.72 seconds, behind Dave Davis who finished at 15 minutes and 14.77 seconds.
China’s Yang Sun nabbed the top ranking swimming in heat four of the qualifiers, with a 14 minute 43.25 second time.
