Aeroparque flights delayed due to bad weather conditions
Flights were delayed this morning at the Jorge B. Newbery Metropolitan Airport due to poor visibility, heavy rain, electric storms and strong winds caused by the banks of fog which affected the City and Greater Buenos Aires areas.
By midmorning weather conditions worsened and hail hit several neighborhoods of Buenos Aires City briefly. According to airport sources, the weather was causing traffic controllers to space the departures and arrivals for longer periods as a security measure.
The National Weather Forecasting Service (SMN) informed bad weather conditions are expected to remain throughout the day with scattered showers and storms anticipated for Buenos Aires City and also Greater Buenos Aires.
