Men's Hockey: Argentina draw Australia
Argentina´s players (from R) Pedro Ibarra, Lucas Rossi, and Gonzalo Peillat celebrate a goal against Australia during the men´s field hockey preliminary round match between Australia and Argentina at the Riverbank Arena in London on August 3, 2012.
Argentina drew 2-2 against the Australian field hockey team, after making game-changing comeback in the second half on Day 7 of the London 2012 Olympic Games at Riverbank Arena.
Argentina sprung a major surprise by taking a point off Australia from a 2-2 draw in the men's Hockey tournament as the world number ones showed they were not infallible in conceding a 2-0 half-time lead.
With two minutes remaining, Argentina won a penalty corner and Gonzalo Peillat converted to earn the South Americans' first point of the tournament.
Argentina, who have only ever beaten Australia once before at the Olympic Games in 1976, produced a rally after the break on the back of some impressive goalkeeping by Juan Manuel Vivaldi.
