De Vido announces toll fare hike to finance road improvement plan

Planning Minister Julio De Vido announced a hike in toll booth fares in the Panamerican, Ricchieri and Acceso Oeste highways in order to finance a public works plan to improve accesses to the City and to extend the General Paz motorway.
Starting next week, each car will pay a $8 peso toll on the Panamerican highway, instead of the previous $7, while the Ricchieri toll fare will cost $3 pesos.
Planning Minister Julio de Vido said the “Government deemed the users capable of financing the public works they will make use of .”
