Fencer Pérez Maurice eliminated in first round
Argentine fencer María Belén Pérez Maurice had quick debut and farewell in the Olympic Women’s individual sabre Round of 32 after losing 15-10 to Italian Gioia Marzocca.
The 26-year old Argentine who came into public light during the past weeks after media portrayed her personal story, which includes working as a beauty model in order to afford her career as a profesional fencer, started up in the match but litle by little lost pace and the Italian charged back with her best moves.
