Fog causes delays at Aeroparque, on roads
Mist and dense banks of fog reduced the visibility in Buenos Aires City today causing delays on the main city accesses and at Jorge Newbery Metropolitan Airport (Aeroparque), affecting several morning flights.
At Aeroparque from early this morning, arrivals and outgoing flights were pulled back slightly, however airport sources said that no flights had been cancelled due to the weather conditions.
Delays are expected to continue until around midday, where conditions are predicted to improve.
At Ortuzar Weather Station, located in Agronomia neighborhood, the visibility was reduced to five kilometres, informed National Weather Forecasting Service (SMN).
The National Road Security Administration (ANSV) and the National Highway Administration recommended drivers “reduce their speed, leave a larger stopping distance, and where needed, use fog lights.”
